5. Insert front and back arcuate guides.
6. Hand lift each side to verify clearance before operating with cord or motor. If lifter arm or fabric rubs window framing, then see
"Adjustment Instructions" to either adjust the Arcuate guide or adjust the 45 degree lifter.
7. Slip back Disc onto End Flange on window side first. Then slip front Disc onto front End Flange.
NOTE: Do not open and close shade without discs in place. Discs are for material support.
8. Install the Tension Device. The Tension Device reduces the hazards of strangulation and entanglement of young children by limiting access to the control cord. The Tension Device is shipped attached to the cord. The mounting bracket for the tension device must be screwed firmly to side window frame or the wall.
A. If lower blinds are installed under arch shade, then lower the blind to a full closed position. Position the Tension Device on the window frame or the wall so that the Tension Device and control cord do not interfere with raising or lowering of the lower blinds. The Tension Device should be installed without stretching or pulling down on the control cord. Stretching the cord will cause excessive wear. Do not twist or cross the control cord.
B. Determine which direction the mounting bracket will face relative to the Tension Device. Make sure the Tension Device will be snapped into the mounting stand in the same correct direction.
C. Before attaching Tension Device to the base, measure and mark the location in the window where the tension device will be mounted. Mount the base in position without the tension device attached. The mounting screws must be secured into a solid surface.
D. To mate Tension Device to mounting bracket, press center round button exposing the four latching legs and press into the corresponding thru-hole of the mounting bracket stand until the latches snap and lock to the mounting stand. The loop should now pass freely through the Tension Device.
Once the tension device is snapped to the base it is designed not to be removed.
